Colorado Strain (COL)
The climate in Colorado is not well-suited for Psilocybe cubensis — so it’s unlikely this strain really came from the mountainous region of Colorado, as some vendors claim.
However, it isn’t impossible, and there have been rumors of psilocybe species growing here during the summer.
The true origins of this strain remain a mystery, but it’s a popular strain for its strong resistance to infection.
What the Colorado strain boasts in disease resistance, it lacks in potency. The average tryptamine level for this shroom was found to be slightly higher than 0.60% (which we consider to be the low end of average for Psilocybe cubensis).
The Colorado strain is known for being average in terms of potency. The psilocybin and psilocin levels average at about 0.56% and 0.02%, respectively — for an average tryptamine concentration of around 0.64%.
