Golden Teachers (GT)

Golden Teachers (GT)

Golden Teachers are one of the most common mushroom strains on the market and an excellent option for beginner mushroom cultivators because of their tolerance to unoptimized growing environments.

The origins of this strain remain a mystery, but experts believe it was originally picked from somewhere in the Gulf region of the United States. This strain has been circulating around since at least the 1980s.

This is a very well-rounded strain. It grows quickly, produces dense flushes, and carries average strength for a cubensis.

Appearance-wise, these mushrooms are about as average as Psilocybe cubensis gets.

Potency testing on this strain across 11 different samples suggests averages of 0.66% psilocybin, 0.05% psilocin, and 0.73% total tryptamine levels. These figures further suggest this shroom is a near-perfect average for Psilocybe cubensis mushrooms.

They thrive in just about any substrate, are fast colonizers, and generally produce large yields over the course of 2 to 4 flushes.

The original sample is thought to have been collected from the Gulf region of the United States in the late 70s (unconfirmed).
