Z-Strain (ZS)
Sometimes called “Z-Cube,” has average potency and is known for a unique aggressive growth characteristics.
Some users report having especially strong physical effects with intense tactile sensations and a gentle buzzing of the skin.
What makes this strain so different is its production of rhizomorphic mycelial growth. This is a growth pattern involving thick threads of mycelium that spread quickly through the mycelium.
In general, the string-like rhizomorphic mycelium is viewed as more resistant to disease, faster growing, and produces dense flushes of potent mushrooms later on during the fruiting stage.
All strains can produce both rhizomorphic and tomentose mycelium, but the Z-strain appears to be a genetic isolation of a strain that (almost) always produces the superior rhizomorphic form.
This strain is prone to aborts, so it’s recommended for intermediate or experienced growers only. If you can crack the code for getting the Z-strain right, it’s hands down one of the best options for commercial grows or those looking to maximize yields.
Some reports suggest this mushroom to be very potent, but we’ve found it to be pretty average compared to other Psilocybe cubensis. This mushrooms strength is certainly it’s tenacity while growing rather than being especially strong in the hallucinogenic department.
expect a potency of around 0.66% psilocybin, 0.17% psilocin, and 0.83% total tryptamines.
