Okinawa
Okinawa (AKA Minami Okinawa) is a wild magic mushroom strain from Japan. It was originally foraged on Ishigaki Island, Japan, in the province of Okinawa. The Psilocybe cubensis name in Japanese is Minami Shibiretake, ミナミ シビレタケ , which means “south numbing mushroom.” Minami is also a normal girl’s name in the region, and so that’s why this strain was dubbed “Minami Okinawa.”
Minami Okinawa mushrooms have cute, golden brown caps that form a white ring around their edge as they expand. They release purple spores that are light in deposit. Their stems are white and hollow and fairly thin.
They release delicate purple spores with a light deposit, and their white, hollow stems are fairly thin, adding to their unique appearance.
Expect to only find the genetics for this mushroom through a very limited number of vendors.
