Pink Buffalo (PINK)

Pink Buffalo (PINK)

Pink Buffalo is another strain discovered in 1990 by the famous John Allen, aka Mushroom John, on one of his many forays to Thailand. Speaking years later, John says he discovered the Psilocybe cubensis strain in a rice paddy where a single Pink Buffalo was grazing.

The Pink Buffalo strain yields large capped mushrooms, and their caps stay darker than most.  It is considered a highly active strain, showing both rhizomorphic and fast colonizing traits.

Pink Buffalo has large and broad caps covering each other in a blanket of black spores. The caps themselves are lightly colored, but most harvested samples end up with a dense black color because of the dense spore distribution.  The potency of Pink Buffalo is above average.
