Black Cap Ochra

Black Cap Ochra is an isolation of Psilocybe Ochraceocentrata of a phenotype which was chased by the renowned mycologist known as Psilosaurus Rex.  As described by Psilosaurus Rex, he isolated the Green Cap Ochra phenotype first. He grew out the Green Cap Ochra from spores and selected only fruits which displayed the desired Black Cap morphology.  Around the fourth filial generation (F4), the Black Cap line split off and he started chasing the smaller capped, dark blue, green, and black fruits.

Currently, Psilosaurus Rex has the Black Cap Ochra at F8 which is about thirteen to fourteen generations away from the wild specimen.

All his skilled work has resulted in a beautiful and hardy strain with aggressive colonization, distinct coloration, and a strain which is highly resistant to contamination.
